The event
Over the past 20 years, a cosmopolitan and innovative chocolate scene has developed in Dubai, which has reached its temporary climax in the global hype surrounding "Dubai Chocolate". This lecture will shed light on the opportunities and risks of this development
From pralines for the royal majlis to premium camel milk chocolates and bean-to-bar producers, Dubai has experienced a remarkable evolution in its chocolate scene over the past 50 years. The city has increasingly become a focal point for a new generation of chocolate enthusiasts. As a melting pot and host to over 18 million tourists from around the world in 2024, Dubai's influence—particularly in regions and societies with little or no previous relationship to chocolate—cannot be overstated. With its reputation as a luxury destination and a can-do attitude, Dubai has the potential to become the new Brussels or Zurich of the chocolate world.
Highlight of the presentation: Live tasting of Al Nassma Pistachio-Kunafa camel milk chocolate (Dubai style) together with our ISM mascot GISMO
