At this event, the German Initiative on Sustainable Cocoa and the Swiss Cocoa Platform will present concrete approaches for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to promote living incomes in the cocoa sector. The aim is to present practicable strategies and instruments and to promote dialogue on current challenges and opportunities for living incomes.
The event will begin with an introduction to the current challenges and developments in the cocoa sector.
Practical tools and approaches that can support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in promoting living incomes for cocoa farming households will then be presented in an interactive format.
At several stations, members of the initiatives will present concrete solutions and an expert panel with representatives from SMEs, standard organisations, the chocolate industry and the retail trade will shed light on different perspectives and experiences.
A concluding Q&A session offers the opportunity to discuss specific topics and concerns in greater depth. Afterwards, an informal reception will provide space for dialogue and networking.
